Easter Eggs Dyed with AroniaberriesAroniaberries have been used for dye for centuries.  Native Americans used the berry for health and wellness purposes as well as for clothing dye.  This inspired us to try using our Superberries Aroniaberry Concentrate in place of tablets for the traditional Easter egg dye.  We were thrilled.  We loved the color of purple the eggs turned the longer we left them in the dye.

Posted by Superberries on 7/26/2017 to Berry Comparisons

After doing a comparison of the Aronia Berry, the Blueberry and the Cranberry in past weeks, I was recently asked how the Aronia Berry stacks up against the pomegranate. While the pomegranate is a better known and higher marketed fruit than the Aronia Berry, the Aronia Berry provides a much higher concentration of antioxidants and beneficial nutrients than the pomegranate does.

The Aronia Berry is a very hardy fruit coming from a very hardy bush. It has a minimal amount of predatory insects that affect crop production if inorganic pesticides aren’t used. Aroniaberries vs the Elderberry

Perhaps the closest berry in comparison to the Aronia Berry is the elderberry. With cold and flu season upon us, the hunt is on for holistic remedies to boost the immune system or shorten the duration and the severity of the illness. Both the Aronia Berry and the elderberry do provide some supplemental benefits to a well balanced diet and help maintain a state of health and wellness. However, there are differences between the two berries and the better option overall appears to be the Aronia Berry for its higher antioxidant benefits.

Posted by Scott McKenzie on 9/20/2016 to About the Aroniaberry
It's been interesting speaking with a number of the local farmers in Nebraska and Iowa regarding the Aronia crop, the growing season and the harvesting of the berries. I've noted that most of the farms place a firm emphasis on organic production of the Aronia Berries and are very careful to foster the bushes on land certified organic by the USDA. This careful attitude of the farms toward the organic growth of the bush and the Aronia Berry ensures a more natural tendency toward health and wellness.

Benefits of Aroniaberry vs Cranberry

Posted by Superberries on 9/12/2016 to Berry Comparisons
During the past few months I’ve been doing a research project on the comparison of various well known berries and how they stack up against the lesser known Aronia Berry. It’s been an interesting project and the knowledge I’ve gained regarding the various berries is quite enlightening to a “foodie” such as myself.  In the course of this research I was asked how well the Aronia Berry stacked up against the cranberry. While cranberries are high in natural antioxidants and provide nutritional value to any diet, the Aronia Berry still manages to top the cranberry in nearly every category.
