This week I thought I’d share a couple of my favorite aronia berry smoothie recipes. It’s a perfect “pick me up” after an intense morning workout and it provides me with the energy needed to face the rigors of the oncoming day. It’s also a very easy quick fix and supplies much of the nutrients needed from a good, healthy breakfast. One note, occasionally I’ll add blueberry or strawberry kefir to the mix to live on the edge and “sweeten the deal” just a bit. Enjoy!
Aronia Berry Kale Smoothie
Ingredients:
3 cups Superberries Frozen Aronia Berries
3 cups coconut milk
1 cup kale (or more if you like)
½ cup plain greek yogurt or kefir
3 teaspoons pure maple syrup or
honey
water if needed for consistency
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender
and blend till smooth. Add water, if needed, to get the consistency you like.
Aronia Pineapple Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Superberries Frozen Aronia Berries
3 ounces vanilla nonfat Greek
yogurt
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup kale
3/4 cup water
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a blender,
and mix until smooth.
