
This Aroniaberry Scone recipe is perfect for brunch or breakfast. Simple ingredients and a boost of antioxidants from the Aroniaberries. Serve for breakfast or freeze a batch and have on hand for breakfast or an afternoon snack during the week. Just pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds or so.
INGREDIENTS
1 Cup of Aroniaberries
2 Cups Flour
3 Tbsps Sugar
2 1/4 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/4 Cup of Butter + 1 Tbsp
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
DIRECTIONS
Add the egg to the buttermilk and vanilla. Drizzle liquid into flour and berry mixture. Separate into 6 balls. Cut in half. Apply egg wash and sugar. Bake at 375 ° F. for 22 minutes.
