Aronia-Carrot-Spinach Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup Frozen Aronia berries or 1 tablespoon Aronia berry Concentrate

½  cup orange juice 

½ cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

1 cup fresh spinach leaves

½ frozen banana, sliced

1 large carrot or 6 baby carrots

Optional additions:

½ teaspoon grated ginger for a zesty kick

1 tablespoon chia seeds for added fiber and omega-3s

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon for warmth and flavor

2-3 fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist

Directions:

Preparation: Wash and peel the carrot if using a large one. Slice it into smaller pieces for easier blending. Gather all the ingredients.

Blend Base: In a blender, combine the orange juice and vanilla yogurt. If you're adding ginger or cinnamon, this is the time to include them. Blend until well combined.

Add Greens and Fruits: Add the Aronia berries (or concentrate), fresh spinach leaves, sliced banana, and carrot pieces into the blender.

Optional Boosts: If you're adding chia seeds or mint leaves, toss them in now.

Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth consistency. You may need to pause and scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure everything gets mixed evenly.

Serve and Enjoy: Pour the smoothie into glasses. Garnish with a sprig of mint or a sprinkle of chia seeds if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the vibrant flavors and nourishing goodness!
